Festival Connections
This year we have been welcomed at two wellbeing festivals and they have both left me with such warmth in my heart.
We started off at the wonderful Soul Escape in Lincolnshire earlier in the year, nestled within one of their woodlands with the songs of near by stands floating through the air. It was truly wonderful.
For me, it was like a full day sit spot with people dropping in all day long, some for Forest Bathing intros and EcoNidra sessions, but others just coming to sit in this tranquility whilst connecting with the earth; whether they were truly aware of themselves doing this or not.
However, without actually being a specific offering, being able to have a space where people could come and sit in the silence and spend a little time to reset in between their other sessions was absolutely magical.
Everything about the day was gentle, warm and connecting.
More recently, I was part of Fearne Cottons Happy Place Festival over in Cheshire. A different vibe but WOW the name says it all. This was a full weekend event and I offered EcoNidra at the start of Saturday and also at the end of the Sunday - One lady told me that she had booked on both sessions, so that she could start and end hwe weekend with this practice - how special was that!
On the Sunday I found a space under a tree whilst waiting for my session time. I was simply being and observing. I noticed how virtually everyone had smiles, there was laughter in the air and genuine lightness etched within each face.
Happy Place has definitely brought together a weekend of happiness, sharing, kindness and something for all.
Both festivals offered learning curves for me, often competing with the festival sounds around me; but somehow this adds to the sessions, it is different to being in the natural silence for sure; but its allpart of the day. It offers the backdrop of the day, each moment, each memory and each experience can be fully integrated into the body as we spend this time in the stillness and enable the nourishment to settle within.
I hope to be back at both these festivals in 2024 - so watch this space - and if you get a chance to go to a wellbeing festival, then do so - the gifts they offer deep within the soul, lasts way longer than the events themselves. An essence all of its own that needs to be experienced.
