Introduction to Nature & Forest Therapy / Forest Bathing

This is a special invitation to join us for a discovery session to explore more about Nature and Forest Bathing at Clumber Park.

Nature Connection is an important element to incorporate into our lives and Forest Bathing is one way to help achieve this.

Nature and Forest Bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku.

On this introductory talk and taster session you will discover more about nature and forest bathing, where it has originated from and some of the physical and psychologial health benefits that studies have confirmed.

You will also be offered a couple of our invitations to experience the effect for yourself. The first being "Pleasures of Presence" - this is a guided mindful meditation that is designed to slow us down and awaken our senses. The second may vary from a slow walk to tea ceremony.

Each session will be approx one hour long.

An introduction to Nature & Forest Therapy and Nature Journalling at Clumber Park

This introductory session will help you discover the many pleausres of Nature & Forest Therapy, Nature Connection and Nature Journalling

There are many ways to increase our relations with nature and our own true nature, and these two offerings are just a couple of those.

Nature and Forest Therapy helps you to slow down whilst awakening your senses. An absolute essential with our fast paced, time bound, demanding lifestyles. It helps us to restore and rebalance. There are many scientific studies that back up the therapeutic mind and body health benefits that it offers.

Writing or Journalling has long been used within counselling pracitces as a form or expression and therapy. Nature Journalling helps to further connect with our relationships with Nature and enables us to explore both our inner and outer landscapes utilising our relationship with the natural world as our teacher and mirror.

This particular session is an introduction to these practices and will offer some experiential elements as a way of a taster.

We will be nestled within a clearing within one of the woodlands at Clumber Park. Instructions of where to meet and what to bring will be sent to you upon booking.

£15 per person - normal park entry also applies

A full session of Nature & Forest Therapy lasts around 3 hours and Nature Journalling approx 2 hours - both of these can be experienced in full at Clumber Park during the year.

EcoNidra - Stillness * Calm

EcoNidra - Stillness * Calm

EcoNidra is a deeply relaxing practice for both your mind and body.

It's often referred to as where Shavasana meets Nature Connection.
It's foundations are set within the ancient practices of Yoga Nidra and it really is the voice that reconnects.

This is a triple journey. A journey through your senses, a pilgrimage through your body and a journey into silence and stillness.

We invite you to lay down for this practice, where possible, with head phones or earbuds and just allow yourself to be guided by my voice.
Also worth having plenty of pillows and blankets for your comfort.

We ask you to have a nature element nearby - this can be a plant, a cone, a rock, a feather, a twig - or a view to the sky, the moon and the stars or maybe you can see the tops of tree swaying.

This session is being hosted via insight timer.
Insight timer is a free meditation app. Your link directly to this event is here:https://insig.ht/twBMxJBnmub
