Life is about Balance
When I think about balance in my life, it often brings me straight to balancing work and home life - however there is so much more.
Balance is having the right amount of rest, work and play for you.
It’s having the right balance for you between sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system activity.
Its eating in a nutritionally balanced way.
It’s following our hearts whilst being grounded.
It’s the acknowledgement of night and day | Light and shadows.
It’s the wisdom of listening as well as speaking.
It’s increasing the elements in our lives that make us feel alive and finding the joys in others that maybe aren’t as giving.
Its affording yourself the time to notice the way a flower has been opening over a period of time, or a rain drop on a petal. The images often displayed within the clouds that only you can see.
It’s being in tune with your bodily responses and hearing the gentle whispers.
It’s being present in the here and now - feeling and being with all of your senses in an embodied way and being alive in your life right now.
There are so many ways that you can take small steps to start acknowledging and feeling balance in your life and its often finding the unique way for you.
It may be meditations or self care practices, it may be stealing a few moments frequently throughout the day or it may be taking days out away from your usual busy life.
If there is one thing to hold onto it is that life is about balance -
The earth shows us this every day from night and day and the seasons of the earth shows us from growth and vibrancy to letting go and resting.
